I WAS very surprised to see my younger brother, sadly no longer with us, holding the cup of the Fairford Road Gang in the memories page of the Weekly News.
I have a photograph from 1948/49 of two councillors from Burnham Council opening a baby and toddler clinic at Highbridge Town Hall (no longer there). I remember we were supplied with orange juice and cod liver oil for our babies from the clinic.
I am sure there must be a few more of us old timers still around from the photo. Two out of three of my own children are now old enough to retire themselves and we all enjoy these looking back photos, so please keep them coming, it's a great idea.
