Mark Friendship Club

DESPITE a number of apologies, there were 35 members at the May 1 meeting. The chairman thanked everyone for attending the party on April 29 and said how delighted both he and his wife were with all the donations received for BARB and the Somerset and Dorset Air Ambulance. A further cheque was presented to him from the club.

Members were pleased to be welcoming back Rena and Bob Hines after a long absence, due to ill health and birthday cards were given out. Entertainment was an all-male affair with The Reflections, two tenors and a baritone with their pianist Dennis, who gave an hour of lovely music and song.

Because of the May 15 outing there will not be another meeting until June 5. Also there will be an outing in June to St Fagins.

After a special tea the meeting closed at 4.30pm.
