CHEERFUL Matthew Ocasla, of
Othery, volunteers his time to
work for the charity StreetChild
Romania.
He was judged Highly
Commended in the Pride of
Somerset Youth Awards.
His award nomination reads:
"Through no fault of his own,
Matt has nowhere to call home
and no family to turn
to. On his 19th birthday
he had no presents, nor
celebrations.
"Despite this and
other very serious
worries, Matt still
dedicates a great deal
of his time
volunteering his
services to gain
donations for the
charity.
"His selflessness truly
is an inspiration."
He also recently
volunteered to redesign
the charity's website.
