Advert awards
KODA'S memorable
Fabia Cake' advert
has not only proved
popular with
television and online
audiences but has
also struck a chord
with British
Television
Advertising Award
judges, after they
granted the advert
four accolades.
The advert, created
by Fallon, picked up
gold awards in the
following categories:
Best 30-60 second
commercial, the John
Webster Award for
best 30 second
commercial,
European Advertising
and Cars.
The advert, which
sees a full-size Fabia
made entirely out of
cake to demonstrate
the car is full of
lovely stuff', has
clearly captured the
judges' imagination.
The BTAA awards
are the most
prestigious accolades
in consumer
advertising and
recognise creativity of
media people in
agencies.
Mary Newcombe,
head of marketing for
koda, said: "The
concept for the
advert was so
different and yet so
fitting for the Fabia
that it has been a real
success.
"Fallon did a
fantastic job by
pushing the
boundaries of
creativity and using a
simple idea of baking
a cake to get our
messages across to
the consumer."
The British
Television
Advertising Awards
began in 1976 to
recognise and reward
the best television
and cinema
commercials made
by British advertising
agencies and
production
companies.
