Exciting times at Debenhams
THESE are exciting times for Debenhams as the company looks forward to expanding its head office team in Taunton.
The fashion retailer recently announced that it was proposing to open two new departments in its Bedford House office, and as a result is looking for people to join the new Human Resources Service Centre and Stores Recruitment teams.
The HR team helps all employees by providing advice and guidance on HR issues while the Recruitment team ensures that Debenhams is able to recruit the best people into their nationwide department stores.
A Debenhams spokesman said: "We have opportunities for assistants and team leaders who have experience of working in a high-volume customer service environment and have bags of initiative and an eye for detail.
"Some HR or recruitment experience would be great but most important is a real passion for service. From full time contracts to part-time flexible hours, there should be something to suit everyone."
Debenhams' first recruitment event last week was very successful, but the firm is still keen to meet more people and is holding another recruitment evening on today (Thursday, May 8) between 5.30pm and 9pm at the Conference Centre at Somerset College (formerly Somerset College of Arts and Technology), Wellington Road, Taunton.
Anyone who is interested simply needs to turn up with their CV.
