AN expert who was consulted for the production ITV's Mr Bates vs the Post Office will host a talk in Burnham-on-Sea later this year.

Journalist and broadcaster Nick Wallis has worked on BBC Radio 4’s ‘The Great Post Office Trial’, Private Eye’s ‘Justice Lost in the Post’, BBC1’s Panorama ‘Scandal at the Post Office’, The One Show, and Channel 5’s ‘Criminals Caught on Camera over the last decade.

He has used his experiences covering the story to write a best-selling book, The Great Post Office Scandal, which forms the basis of his show which he will deliver at The Princess Theatre and Arts Centre in Burnham-on-Sea.

His Burnham-on-Sea talk will take place on Sunday, May 12, at 7:30pm.

Tickets cost £15 and can be purchased from The Princess Theatre and Arts Centre website.

In his talk, Nick will speak on the commissioning of the disastrous Post Office Horizon IT system and examines the punitive methods employed by the Post Office which they used to bypass the police and the Crown Prosecution Service - to create what some are referring to as the 'most widespread miscarriage of justice in UK legal history'.

As the public inquiry into the scandal reveals yet more findings, Nick will explain the very latest developments and their significance in real time.
