Time is ripe for Rotten BBC Sound Of 2012 tip Dot Rotten is breaking out from the grime scene, producing himself entirely and opting against featuring other artists – and he’s in Bristol at the start of March.

While his set up single ‘Keep It On A Low’ was added to Radio 1's ‘In New Music We Trust’ playlist, his new single ‘Are You Not Entertained’ (out March 5, Mercury Records) looks set to announce the savvy 22 year-old to a wider listening audience. It was already Zane’s ‘Hottest Record In The World’ recently and support from Nick Grimshaw at Radio 1 and all two months before release.

Before the release he is supporting Labrinth on his UK tour and will be coming to the Bristol 02 Academy on March 1.

Goldfrapp has explored a range of musical styles in their songs, although many songs are characterised by Alison Goldfrapp's distinctive breathy, soft soprano vocals and Will Gregory's multi-layered synthesizer and string arrangements.

‘The Singles’ is the first compilation from the band, taking in the captivating electronic balladry of the Mercury-nominated debut album ‘Felt Mountain’, the distorted dancefloor follow-up ‘Black Cherry’, the glitterball glamour of the Grammy nominated, worldwide million selling dance pop of ‘Supernature’, the critically acclaimed electro-folk of ‘Seventh Tree’ and last year’s Grammy nominated album, the hands-in-the-air, retro-futuristic ‘Head First’.
