A MAN is in a critical condition in hospital after suffering a throat wound at Glastonbury Festival.

Police were called to an incident in the Shangrila Camping area at around 3am this morning.

A spokesman said: “A 32-year-old man suffered a wound throat. He was taken to hospital where he has undergone surgery and remains in a critical but stable condition.

“Police do not want to speak to anyone else in connection with this incident, however we would appeal for anyone who witnessed this incident to contact CID on 0845-4567000 or call Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.”
