Peaky Blinders star Charlotte Riley sports the Duchess of Cambridge’s signature wavy hair in the first pictures from a new BBC drama with the Prince of Wales as king.
Charlotte can be seen in a black wrap dress with purple flowers, apparently sitting at a breakfast table in front of an iPad in the first images from King Charles III.
Veteran theatre actor Tim Pigott-Smith, who starred in the award-winning play of the same name, can be seen in the title role in a dark double-breasted pinstripe suit and tie.
The new show, which envisions a constitutional crisis, also stars Green Wing actor Oliver Chris as the Duke of Cambridge.
It will show the new king refusing to sign a controversial bill, causing political chaos, rioting on the streets and a tank in front of Buckingham Palace.
The 90-minute one-off programme is based on Mike Bartlett’s Laurence Olivier award-winning play.
Directed by Rupert Goold, it won best new play at the 2015 Laurence Olivier Awards.
