Kanye West surprised fans with a secret London gig last night, featuring a cast of other rappers from both sides of the Atlantic.
The Yeezus star has been in the UK since last week’s Brit Awards, making appearances at Oxford University, Central St Martins and an Adidas store.
But his fans rushed to bag tickets for last night’s show at Koko in Camden, which was only announced at 7pm and didn’t see Kanye take to the stage until 1am, according to NME.
During his 90-minute set, Kanye was joined by London grime MCs including Skepta, JME, Meridian Dan and Novelist, plus US rappers including Big Sean and Raekwon of the Wu Tang Clan.
Kanye performed alongside his guest stars, letting many of them take the lead on some tracks, and also played hits including Jesus Walks, All Of The Lights and Black Skinhead.
The rapper, married to Kim Kardashian, used the gig to showcase some of the tracks from his forthcoming album So Help Me God, including Wolves, the first play of U Mad with Vic Mensa, and two performances of All Day which bookended the show.
