RISING classical music star Rebecca Newman is set to perform in Weston as she prepares to launch her first UK chart single.

The soprano will be joined by the Great Western Chorus in an entertaining evening of music at The Playhouse Theatre on her Coast to Coast tour. The event will raise funds for Weston RNLI.

Rebecca has sung at famous and imposing venues like The Royal Albert Hall, Her Majesty's Theatre, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and Headingley Stadium and has appeared on ITV1 and BBC One, and is regularly heard on BBC radio.

Her first chart-eligible debut single created with James Fitzpatrick – Lesley Garrett’s producer – and Paul Bateman – Sarah Brightman’s musical director – is released on November 19 and is a classical Italian version of My Heart Will Go On, Il Mio Cuore Va, featuring the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

Audiences can hear the song a week before its official UK chart launch along with many other tracks from her CDs.

Tickets for the show tomorrow (November 11) cost £14.50 (£13 concessions) and are available via www.theplayhouse. co.uk or by calling 01934-645544.
