TWO outstanding musicians and raconteurs are bringing their ‘jazz from the prohibition years’ show to Cossington.

Mike Denham on the piano and Tom ‘Spats’ Langham on the banjo, guitar and vocals will be playing a selection of great numbers by Cole Porter, Fats Waller, Django Reinhardt and other jazz greats, including Bing Crosby.

The performance will take the audience on an aural whistlestop tour of Chicago, Paris, New Orleans and New York among other towns famed for their jazz roots.

Held at Cossington Village Hall on Saturday, November 17, at 8pm (the doors will open from 7pm).

The event will also offer a fullylicensed bar with cask conditioned ale. Reserved seats at £10 to include refreshments are available from host Roger Collett on 01278- 451187 or from Strings n’ Things in Bridgwater.

A donation from the evening’s proceeds will go to Bridgwater Hospital League of Friends together with proceeds of a collection to be taken after the performance.
