LENNY Henry, one of Britain’s best known and loved personalities, is coming to Weston as part of his latest stand-up tour.

Entitled ‘Lenny Henry: Pop Life’, the one-man comedy show about music will take the audience on a hilarious joyride through the comedian’s life using his first main passion of music entwined with his renowned witty charisma.

Music has always played a huge part in Lenny’s life and this joyous, funny, freaky show sees Lenny play the piano for the first time in front of an audience.

From his childhood years thinking Elvis was a relative to hanging at the Queen Mary Disco in the Midlands and beyond, you'll learn how music goes better with everything.

But the show is not just about music and Lenny will also enlighten fans on his thoughts on the Olympic and Paralympic fever that has swept across Britain and he will open up about his friends and family in a show containing plenty of laughs and lots of funky tunes along the way.

Lenny wrote Pop Life with his longterm collaborator Kim Fuller, who worked with him on Three Of A Kind, The Lenny Henry Show and Saturday Night Live.

The show will take place at The Playhouse Theatre tomorrow (November 18) at 7.30pm.

Tickets, costing £24.50 are available via www.theplayhouse.co.uk or from the box office on 01934-645544.
