LOVES Cafe in Weston will be exhibiting the work of two local artists – James White and Yan Collins – from 3pm on Sunday (January 20).
Contemporary artist James, who is a teacher at Priory Community School, experiments with different materials such as graphic pens, inks and graffiti spray paints, to create artwork inspired by people and places.
And photographer Yannic began his craft at a young age when he received a camera for his eighth birthday.
Studying Art Foundation at Weston College, the dark room quickly became Yan’s favourite place.
While doing artist research he discovered a love for the raw landscapes of Ansel Adams to the cinematic feel of Cindy Sherman and Gregory Crewdson.
From there Yan went on to study Fine art photography at the University of Gloucestershire, where he began to shoot mainly in colour and on digital cameras.
The exhibition will run for one month – for more information visit www.lovesweston.co.uk
