BOULEVARD Swing Band kicks off its 2013 season with a free concert at The Borough Arms in Locking Road, Weston super Mare, on Saturday (February 2).

This full-sized big band offer an exciting repertoire of live jazz music blending ’40s and ’50s big band classics with Rat Pack gold and contemporary covers.

Music from Frank Sinatra, Michael Bublé, Dean Martin, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Buddy Rich and even Oasis, Van Halen and Nirvana can all be found in their extensive swing library.

The 18-piece line-up features talented professional and semi-professional jazz musicians who have been making numerous events go with a swing for over a decade while frontman/lead singer Mark Godfrey is Somerset’s own answer to Sinatra.

There will be another chance to see the band at The Malt Shovel in Wemdon Road, Bridgwater, on the afternoon of Sunday, June 23.
