THE Moscow State Circus is bringing the sensational extravaganza Babushkin Sekret to the Playhouse Theatre in Weston on February 11 and 12.

The show is inspired by an old Russian tale, The Legend of the 12 Chairs, and is set in Soviet Russia in 1927.

It tells the story of a hilarious treasure hunt when the grandmother of a former member of the nobility reveals on her death bed that the family’s fortune is hidden in one of the twelve chairs from their dining room set.

A mammoth cast of Russia's greatest and most talented circus artistes combine contemporary and classical circus in way never witnessed before.

The newly devised show includes the beautiful Queen of Russian Circus Yana Alievia on a revolving aerial chandelier, the whirlwind Rubsovs troupe who acrobatically catapult themselves at breakneck speed and the gyrating juggling Sherbakovs.

Award winning clowns, Valik and Valerik will also make an appearance. There are performances at 5pm and 8pm with a matinee on Tuesday.

Tickets cost between £11-£23 and are available on 01934 645 544 or at www.theplayhouse.co.uk.
