Don't miss...this February

Stargazing weekend at Exmoor National Park

Early February is the perfect time for stargazing in Exmoor, home to the first International Dark Sky Reserve in Europe. Skies darken at 7pm, staying pitch black until the moon rises after midnight.

The Andromeda Galaxy in the west, the most distant object visible to the naked eye, will be on display, as will the Milky Way, our own galaxy stretching in an arc from horizon to horizon. These are only visible in places like Exmoor which are virtually free of light pollution.
