AUDIENCES get ready to be highly entertained as one of the finest voices ever returns to the Playhouse Theatre, Weston, with an intimate solo acoustic show.

Dennis Locorriere, formerly the lead singer of the hugely successful 1970s band Dr Hook, has a voice that is immediately recognised the world over.

He has always been an artist who is truly, once seen, never forgotten and has even written songs for a wide variety of other artists including Bob Dylan, Southside Johnny, Crystal Gayle, BJ Thomas, Olivia Newton- John, Waylon Jennings, Helen Reddy and Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynne.

This new Point Zero Tour showcases new material from his solo career as well as old classics from his time in Dr Hook.

Dennis Locorriere’s first solo album, Out Of The Dark, was released in 2000 and he won new audiences when he embarked on a major UK tour.

More recent achievements include the release of his third studio album, Post Cool, in 2010, closely followed by a live DVD, Post Cool Live, filmed at Glasgow's Royal Concert Hall.

The show is at 7.30pm on Saturday, February 23, and tickets are £20 on 01934-645544 or at theplayhouse.co.uk
