HAND-MADE crafts will be on sale at St Andrew’s Church hall, Burnham, next Saturday (March 2) to raise money for charity.

The spring event is in aid of Post Pals, a national charity dedicated to making seriously ill children and their siblings smile by sending cards, letters, little gifts, support and friendship.

This year, volunteers are celebrating the charity’s tenth anniversary and hope to celebrate by throwing a big party later this month.

Volunteer at Post Pals Kerry Mason is hoping to raise money to pay for a bouncy castle on the day. She has already raised £130 at the Valentine’s day fair, which she said will pay for a sensory ball pit for disabled and visually impaired children.

Next month’s fair, which will also raise money for Bliss, Home-Start Bridgwater Area and the Highbridge Dreamscheme, will include a tombola, raffle and guess the weight of the cake contest.

The church will be open from 11am to 4pm and entry is free.
