THE Highbridge Festival of the Arts began on Thursday (March 7) with the first of four days of dance.

The dance section will include everything from ballet and tap to modern and hip hop.

Monday and Tuesday will be the turn of speech and drama, with poetry, short stories, dramatic solos and group performances, and even a news reading.

From next Wednesday until Saturday, attention will turn to the music classes – look out for vocal solos, choirs, piano and recorder solos, instrumentals and more.
