FOR a taste of Hollywood visit Weston’s annual sand sculpture festival on the beach, where famous faces from film have popped up along the coastline.

The village of towering sand sculptures, created by world class artists, feature much loved and loathed fictional characters from hit movies.

Visitors can expect to see the cast of Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars, and even the great white shark from Jaws has made it ashore.

It took over 4,000 tonnes of Weston’s unique beach to make the larger than life figures for this year’s Hollywood-themed event.

The festival is in its seventh year, and past years have celebrated the world of fairy tales, the ocean and 2012’s event, with its Great Britain theme, attracting 75,000 visitors despite the second wettest summer on record.

The festival is running until the end of September, and is open daily from 11am-5pm with tickets costing £2 to £3.50. For more details visit www.westonsandsculpture. co.uk
