11:00am Friday 23rd August 2013 in What's On
THE LONG wait is finally over, Watchet Live Music fans.
West Somerset's largest independent live music event is now open for a weekend of entertainment and escapism that's put the seaside town on the serious festival map.
The Hoosiers, best known for infectious chart-topper, Worried About Ray, count among 2013’s top festival acts.
Joining them across Watchet Live’s three stages are Dreadzone (pictured), The Wurzels and The Specials' Neville Staple, along with The Skints, Shawaddywaddy and 3 Daft Monkeys.
It won't be easy pickings from the veritable feast of live music, what with more than 50 acts out of 300 applicants set to perform. The line-up includes Shoot The Moon, Nameless Girl, Rusty Shackle, The Ohmz, Appalachia, Ginger and the Russian, Darktown Strutters, Remedy Sounds... and much, much more.
Tickets for the event, at £20 for an adult day ticket are now almost completely sold out, with just a small number available from when the gates open Friday, August 23 at 11am.
In addition to the music, there is also an open mic tent, The Something Else Tent, silent disco, Charleston, jive and street dance lessons, poetry performance and a festival market and food court will all be on site.
