TONIGHT: Magic, music and mayhem for youngsters with special needs, Brean.
11:50am Thursday 24th October 2013 in What's On
MAGIC, music and mayhem are in store at an evening’s entertainment for youngsters with special needs and their supporters in Burnham, tonight (Thursday).
Children’s entertainer Nutty Noah will be among the acts providing fun at the Seagull Inn on Coast Road.
A prize-filled raffle includes a trip to Legoland, signed CDs, along with donations from local businesses.
The night is the brainchild of Kas and David Drewett from Highbridge, whose son, Callum, aged six, has XYY Syndrome, affecting his behaviour and ability to learn.
The Drewetts came up with the idea in order to branch out to other families in the same boat, form a support network, and make new friends.
Fundraising from the night will go to the not-for-profit Escape Support Group.
To buy tickets for the night, which runs from 6pm-10.30pm, call Kas on 07970-348628. Entry is £5 for adults, free for children with special needs and £1 for siblings.
