ONLY one voice could triumph. On Sunday March 9, after weeks of singing to win, home-grown sensation Breeze Kilpin was crowned winner of the Royal Clarence Hotel’s Karaoke Star Search.
The West Huntspill singer wowed the judges on Burnham’s Esplanade with ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams, ‘Last Name’, by country singer Carrie Underwood, and ‘What's Up’ by 4 Non Blondes.
Trevor Turvey seized second place with tracks by Passenger (‘Let Her Go’), Robert Palmer (‘Bad Case of Loving You’) and Primal Scream (‘Rocks’). Breeze’s vocal talents saw her scoop £25,000 in Sky 1 talent contest Don’t Stop Me Now in 2012.
