FANS of real ale are in for a bank holiday treat as Burnham’s beer festival makes its welcome return with “25% more beer” than in 2013.

The Ritz Social Club is playing host yet again to the beer-swilling event, which will feature a host of locally-produced pints and a heady mix of live music.

Among the beers will be the “refreshing and zesty” Love Money by Glastonbury Ales, which proved a popular choice in 2013, say organisers.

Those sampling the long list of ales will also get to vote for their favourite beer of the festival, with an award to be handed to the winner.

Punters can catch music from Rustique on Friday night and Monday afternoon, Six Machine on Saturday night and Talk Show Hosts on Sunday evening.

Kicking off tomorrow (Friday) night at 6pm, the festival opens at 11am, Saturday to Monday, at the venue in Victoria Street and entry is free.
