RAYMOND Froggatt, a singer-songwriter who crafted lyrics for Cliff Richard, returns to Burnham’s Princess Theatre and Arts Centre on Saturday for a concert.
They may be called The Frog Band, but Froggatt’s backing group will far from croak at the show, which starts at 7.30pm.
In his heyday, ‘Froggie’, as he is known by his army of fans, was signed to some of the top record companies of the time: Polydor, Bell and Jet Warner.
He started his working career as a pipe lagger, spending his evenings singing in pubs and writing poetry in secret.
Cornish music duo, Eagle Country will be in support – the pair won the South West Music Awards Country Act award in 2011.
Tickets cost £14 or £12.50 for concessions and can be booked by calling the theatre box office on 01278-784464 or online at www.princesstheatreandartscentre.co.uk
