FIFTY-FIVE years ago Buddy Holly was killed in a plane crash while touring the Midwest.

Aged just 22, the singer behind ‘Heartbeat’ and ‘Peggy Sue’ changed the face of music forever as one of the founding fathers of rock ’n’ roll.

Tribute act Marc Robinson (pictured) is among those keeping the flame of Holly’s music a-burning, and on Saturday he is in concert at Burnham’s Princess Theatre.

He’ll be armed with Buddy’s trademark horn-rimmed glasses, Stratocaster guitar and authentic costumes to serve up a show that any Holly fan would rate highly.

‘Rave On, A Tribute to Buddy Holly’ starts at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £16, or £15 for concessions and ‘Friends’ of the Princess. Book online at princesstheatreandartscentre.co.uk or call the box office on 01278-784464.
