A FREE exhibition of work created by a woman trained in the art of drawing maps opens at Strode’s Theatre in Street on Tuesday.
Hilary Tudgee believes her formal background as a cartographic draughtswoman has shaped her art.
While she has experimented with various mediums, figurative art is where she has found her home, creating images that recall past pleasures while inspiring others.
Paintings, tapestry and plaster carvings are on view at Tudgee’s show, ‘Somerset and Beyond’, open 10am-5pm, Monday to Friday, or 10am-2pm on Saturdays, until October 27.
