THE annual Somerset Open Studios returns this month with over 200 venues showcasing works of art.

The event, from September 20 to October 5, allows people to acquire unique artworks, craft, jewellery and ceramics, or just enjoy the county’s culture.

Judith Champion, who will be displaying her ‘When Oceans Rise’ exhibition at The Old Piggery Studio in Burnham, said: “My new work has been inspired by the sea in all its moods, and I’m busy preparing my studio to receive visitors.”

Kevin McCloud, patron of Somerset Open Studios, said: “Somerset Arts Week plays an invaluable role in identifying and celebrating a huge variety of creative activities and projects.”
