A VETERAN rock ’n’ roll star is celebrating a milestone birthday by doing what he does best – embarking on a 30-date tour across the UK.

Marty Wilde, who has sold over ten million records, will be performing at the Playhouse Theatre, Weston-Super-Mare, on Thursday, November 6, as part of his tour and to celebrate his 75th birthday.

Audiences will enjoy some of his classic hits from a career spanning over 55 years and special guests on the tour include Eden Kane, John Leyton, Nancy Ann Lee and The Wildcats.

Marty still loves life on the stage and is looking forward to his upcoming tour.

He said: “75-years-old and still going strong. If anyone had told me back in ’58 when I started out that I’d still be playing shows nearly 60 years later I would have laughed ...with happiness.

“I knew back then that music was all I wanted to do and I still know it now.

“This tour is going to be another fantastic rock ’n’ roll party, with my great friends Eden Kane and John Leyton, backed up with the finest backing band, The Wildcats.”

The show begins at 7.30pm – for more information or to book your tickets visit www.parkwoodtheatres.co.uk or call the Box Office on 01934-645544
