THINGS are getting intimate at The Playhouse Theatre in 2015 as audiences are invited to spend a special evening with classical singer Russell Watson.
His first major album 'The Voice' held simultaneous number one slots in the US and the UK, a world first, after spending a record breaking 52 weeks at number one in the UK.
Mark Thompson, general manager at The Playhouse, said: “We are delighted to announce that Russell Watson will play an intimate performance here at The Playhouse. “This spectacular artist promises to be one of our biggest highlights of 2015 and one event which is not to be missed.”
Overcoming two life-threatening brain tumours, Russell is still very much the godfather of classical crossover and this concert is a unique opportunity to hear 'The Voice' as you have never heard it before.
The intimate evening is due to take place next year on Friday, June 12, at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £47/39.50 and are available for Friends of the Playhouse now and on sale to the general public from October 31.
