FIVE times BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominee Jim Causley is a singer/accordionist who is passionate about traditional song and particularly that of his native Devon.

This year saw the release of a new album ‘Forgotten Kingdom’, which was something of a departure and a new beginning as its Jim’s first album of entirely self-penned material.

This new album will showcase him not just as a fine traditional singer and musician, not only as an interpreter of others people’s words but as a fine wordsmith in his own right. It will feature many of Jim’s friends from the Devon folk scene including members of Show of Hands, Nick Wyke & Becki Driscoll, long-time collaborator James Dumbelton as well as some surprise cameos.

Bridgwater Arts Centre. Friday October 23, 8.00pm. Tickets £13. Box: 01278 422700
