VISITORS at the Helicopter Museum in Weston can step back in time to experience life in the 1940s.
The museum is joining forces with the town museum to host a special educational family fun day.
Volunteers and staff from both museums will dress up in a mixture of wartime attire alongside members of several World War II re-enactment societies.
On display will be vehicles from the Second World War, actual weaponry used in the conflict and displays of the home guard, 1940s rationing and even German militaria.
A WWII-themed flight simulator will also be on site to give visitors the feel of what it would be like to fly on a wartime mission care of the Lancaster Project UK.
Throughout the day hHelicopter flights will be operating from the museum helipad and a multitude of wartime characters will be talking to visitors about their exploits, equipment and the vehicles used in the conflict.
The living history day runs starts at 10am- and runs until 5.30pm.
