MODEL enthusiasts should head for Weston next month for the North Somerset Scale Model Show at the Helicopter Museum.

The hangers at the popular venue will be full to the brim with scale models of all shapes and sizes.

Modelling societies from all across the West Country will be exhibiting their creations to the general public and offering tips and advice to would be enthusiasts.

“There will be models on display ranging from classic cars and wartime vehicles to daleks, super heroes and of course aeroplanes and helicopters”, explained museum assistant manager, Miranda Litchfield.

"During the day there will be modelling demonstrations, open cockpit access and a flight simulator. There will also be helicopter flights operating giving visitors the chance to fly over the coastline for the best view in town.”

In addition, all the usual models at the museum will also be available, so get their early if you want time to take it all in.

The North Somerset Scale Model Show takes place on Sunday, July 3 from 10am until 5.30pm.
