A BRIDGWATER artist took part in an exhibition which kicked-off the renowned Appledore Visual Arts Festival.
Somerset College fine art student Karen Roberts entered her work as part of the opening show, at the Glove Factory in North Devon.
Her paintings formed part of the students' exhibition, called 'entity'.
Karen told the Mercury: “It was so exciting to take part in this exhibition, the collections look stunning.
“We have worked so hard to get this far - it is the culmination of our professional practice module.
“I have learnt so much, and can now call myself a professional artist. The course has been a tremendous experience.”
Students created paintings, films, installations and sculptures to display in the exhibition.
Somerset College was asked to open the Appledore Visual Arts Festival for the second year running on the North Devon coast.
