THE Puriton Players' new show, Babes in the Wood, starts tomorrow (Tuesday) at Puriton Village Hall.

The show, which runs until Saturday, will see plenty of familiar faces tread the boards as the classic Robin Hood tale takes a hilarious twist.

Emma Ingram stars as Robin Hood alongside Phoebe Fisher as Maid Marion.

Sam Smith and Tina Stone play Little John and Will Scarlett and the role Sheriff of Nottingham will be taken on by John Holliday.

Marcus Trethewey will turn into Sir Guy of Gisbourne for the shows, which will also see Alan Scott return to the stage as Fanny the Nanny.

Ben Wyatt will be Egbert, Lucy Bennett will be Ginge and Liza Maguire will appear as Sprocket.

Holly Saunders will transform into Fairy Silvermist and the role of King Richard will be taken on my Dave Clarke.

With the senior and junior choruses rehearsing hard and the scenery and costumes at the ready, Puriton Players' new show should have their audiences laughing through the night.

The show will start each night at 7.15pm, plus a special matinee on Saturday at 2pm.

Tickets are £6.50, senior citizens £5.50 and children £4.50 from 01278-683941.
