Sir Ranulph to tackle Everest
EXMOOR-based adventurer Sir Ranulph Fiennes hopes to raise £3m for charity by climbing Mount Everest.
This will be the 64-year-old's second attempt to scale the world's highest mountain. He suffered a heart attack during his first, unsuccessful, attempt in 2005.
If he reaches the summit, Sir Ranulph will be the first man to cross both ice-caps via both poles and to scale the world's highest peak.
The expedition hopes to raise £3m for Marie Curie Cancer Care's Delivering Choice Programme.
