Burnham Lions host gala presentation of Oliver!
MEMBERS of Burnham Lions are hoping to roar to success with a gala presentation of Oliver! on Sunday, May 25, at the Ritz Cinema.
After the success of their Old Time Music Hall, the fundraisers are aiming to latch on to the popularity of the BBC's latest talent contest, I'd Do Anything, with a screening of classic musical theatre.
The evening will start at 6.45pm with a cheese and wine reception, followed at 7.30pm by the film, which contains some of the most well known songs of stage and screen.
The Lions say you should Consider Yourself welcome to come along, enjoy Food Glorious Food and a nostalgic evening of entertainment with plenty of Oom-Pah-Pah.
There will also be a competition for the best costume on the night.
All proceeds from the evening will go to the Musgrove Leukaemic Group Somerset and tickets, costing £7.50, are available from the Ritz Cinema box office.
For more details call Andrew Bryant on 01278-792534.
