Short film to be shot in Brean
 |
| Actress Sharon Duce will star in the short film |
A STAR-STUDDED cast will be making an appearance in Brean today (Wednesday) for the filming of a new prestigious short film.
The film, titled Seven and Six, is collaboration between a group of filmmakers who met at the Engine Room in Bridgwater - and a number of scenes will be shot at Unity Farm in Brean.
It will feature television actress Sharon Duce, from drama Growing Pains and Holby Blue, and Peter McGowan, who has starred in Emmerdale, Heartbeat and the film Goal.
The unusual title refers to the number 76, which in bingo refers to the old price of a marriage licence and would summon the response "Was she/he worth it?" from players.
Filmmaker Deb Richardson said they were delighted to be filming at Brean:
She said: "We will be in Brean on the morning of Wednesday, May 21. We want to say how grateful we are to Unity Farm for letting us film there."
Deb also told the Weekly News extras were needed for a scene being shot at the 37 Club in Puriton, near Bridgwater.
"It's a pivotal scene in the film and we need lots of people to play the regulars. It'll be a fun day as the 37 Club is a really friendly place and we're fortunate to be working with a great cast and crew," she added.
Extras need to be over the age of eighteen and be free to film from 9.30am until 4pm and as a thank you, extras will have their names in the credits and be given a copy of the finished film
