World cup Phoenix event this Saturday.
 |
| Diane Jones, Ray Lambert, and Phil Cook. |
WORLD cup action is just days away and Weekly News readers can enjoy England's first game and help the campaign to rebuild Berrow's fire-ravaged football pavilion at the same time.
On Saturday (June 10) the Phoenix From The Flames appeal will receive money towards the £12,000 from an extravaganza at Berrow and Brean Recreation Club.
Organiser Phil Cook has set up a fantastic line-up from kick-off at 2pm to help rebuild the pavilion that was destroyed by fire last year.
Carlsberg Breweries have supplied raffle prizes and limited edition goodies for the day and there is also a blind auction people can take part in.
And businesses and shops in the area can still donate prizes to help the pavilion appeal add more to the current £1,472 total.
To give auction items ring Phil on 01278-783028 or visit him in person at Berrow post office.
