Fundraising fayre for St Margaret's Hospice

A COMMUNITY fundraiser for St Margaret’s Hospice organised a successful Autumn Fayre to raise cash for the charity.
Julie Draper, who was appointed as a community fundraiser for the charity in 2007, said the annual event offered a range of gifts for the festive season.
Visitors enjoyed a host of delicious cakes and treats and refreshments were on offer in the form of cheese salads, specially prepared by Elizabeth Claydon, Jean Beck, and Marilyn Robinson.
Barbra Fletcher, who is also a community fundraiser, was at the event. She said: “Lots of people came and we did ploughman’s lunches, which went down very well.
“We raised £757.44 and we’d like to say a big thank you to everybody that supported it and those who provided cakes.”
