A DRIVER was rescued from floodwater by firefighters this evening.
A fire engine, a rescue tender and a special rescue team attended the incident in Burrowbridge at around 9pm.
Fire crews used dry suits and an inflatable boat to wade out to the man who was trapped with his vehicle.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Services spokesman said: "The driver who was left with the police.
"We would remind members of the public not to enter flood water under any circumstances, especially if road closure signs are in place."
