ALMOST 100 Brent Knoll residents and RNLI supporters attended an annual carol service.
But the ‘Carols on the Green’ event was forced into a nearby village hall after the heavens opened and rain battered singers.
The event pushed on regardless, with music from the Harmony Plus brass group, followed by refreshments, a bucket collection for the RNLI and a raffle.
Deputy Launch Authority Rod Southwell said: “Unfortunately, the weather was true to form and the rain appeared just before the start.
“But a great time was had by all attending. We greatly appreciate the local support for the RNLI.”
Burnham RNLI fund-raisers and lifeboat volunteers attended the event, and participants were able to view a running slide show of Burnham RNLI photographs.
