Appeal for Berrow homes rejected Appeal for Berrow homes rejected

A DEVELOPER has lost an appeal against Sedgemoor District Council’s decision to reject 13 homes planned for Manor Way, Berrow.

The scheme, for a mix of threeand four-bed houses, was turned down by the council’s development control committee in June.

Applicants Arc Developments South West appealed against the rejection but, in a decision announced in December, Douglas Machin from the Planning Inspectorate, sided with the council.

Mr Machin stated that a neighbouring property would be badly affected by noise if the project went ahead.
