PEOPLE are being invited to have their say on a proposed reservoir in Sedgemoor, which would provide water to the Burnham and Highbridge area for decades to come.

Bristol Water wants to build the facility just south of, and a similar size to, the existing reservoir in Hythe Lane, Cheddar.

A Bristol Water spokesman said: “We understand the importance of this scheme in relation to the local community and environment.

“We are therefore fully committed to working with local residents and key stakeholders to deliver the best possible scheme for the local area as set out in our Vision Statement.

“A key part of the planning process will be to consult fully with the community to help shape the plans before they are finalised.” Click here to see the plans.
