FUNDRAISERS braved the freezing weather and held a table top sale at Burnham’s BAY Centre.

A steady flow of visitors enjoyed the sale on Sunday (January 20) at the centre in Cassis Close to help raise more than £70 for the BAY Centre and Burnham Disabled Swimming Club.

The stall holders sold an array of items, from clothing to art work.

Organiser Mike Lang said: “Despite the low temperatures we decided to press ahead, making the exercise worthwhile for most of our table holders. “The refreshments were popular, as was the tombola. I’d like to extend our thanks to all those who helped, and of course the customers.”

It is hoped another sale will be held in March and the BAY Centre is still raising finance towards its roof replacement.
