AFTER the cold snap of previous days temperatures are now rising, causing snow to melt and leading to flooding.
Fire crews have been dealing with flooding inside properties or rescuing people from floodwater in Taunton, Ilminster and Chard since last night (January 25).
The Met Office has issued a yellow alert of rain for Sunday (January 27), advising people to be aware of heavy rainfall.
Temperatures over the weekend will reach a maximum of 10 °C.
It will be wet and very windy overnight (January 26) with some heavy rain and gales; minimum temperature 4 °C.
Rain and milder air will cause any lying snow to melt, leading to the risk of localised flooding.
