Tessa Munt MP attends anti-pylons meeting
BURNHAM MP Tessa Munt has joined campaigners in preventing pylons being built across the Somerset Levels.
She attended a meeting last weekend with anti-pylon campaign groups.
It was announced people will be able to comment from September 3 on plans by National Grid to connect Hinkley Point C to Avonmouth in Bristol via pylons across the Somerset Levels.
Tessa said: "In the meantime I am continuing to press the Treasury, Department for Energy and Climate Change and Department for Communities and Local Government to do all they can to help stop these unnecessary Pylons scaring our beautiful Somerset.”
