STUDENTS from King Alfred School Sixth Form are celebrating after receiving record results.

Results have just been released for the January modular exam, which show 35% of Year 13 students at the Highbridge centre achieved either an A or B grade.

Year 12 students also achieved 26% A or B grades.

Assistant head teacher Simon Aylward told the Weekly News: “These results reflect the hard work put in by the students themselves who have been closely supported by their teachers and parents.

“Following last year's record A Level results, this is clearly an exciting time to be involved in the King Alfred School Sixth Form and we are looking forward to welcoming a large number of able and keen Year 11 students in September.”

The results mean students will be able to take up offers at leading UK universities.
