KEEN young photographers from St Joseph's Primary School in Burnham have been awarded certificates for their work.
The school Photo Club, run by teacher Natalie Harris, received the certificates from Sharon Stevens, chairman of Burnham Camera Club, for their nature-themed competition.
First place was awarded to Peter Vincent, who was presented with a framed copy of his image and an invitation to cut the ribbon at the official opening of Burnham Camera Club’s exhibition on April 21 at 10.30am at The Bay Centre.
Ms Stevens said: “I was really amazed by the high standard of work from these six and seven-year-olds. It was lovely to see the children engaging in the world around them and producing such fantastic images.”
Seren Walker got second place and Amber Walker was awarded third place. Other members; Ruddy Budd, Chloe Dean, Daisy May Hutchinson, Isabelle Puddy, and Michael Hooper were ‘highly commended’.
All the work by the children will be mounted and shown at the Camera Club exhibition and is also on display at Burnham Library from March 25.
